November 2008 - Please visit the new All Japan Budo Federation-Nippon Seibukan Dojo USA Branch
website here. The Rishinkan Dojo is a branch school (shibu) of this traditional budo organization located in
Kyoto, Japan.
October 2008 - Several promotions took place this month in Aikijujutsu and Iaijutsu. Congratulations to
everyone. Please continue to train hard! The promotions are as follows by date:
Mr. Steven Keith, Yonkyu (4th-kyu/Orange Belt), Aikijujutsu
Mr. Nick Jones, Yonkyu (4th-kyu/Orange Belt), Aikijujutsu
Mr. James Fitzgerald, Sankyu (3rd-kyu/Green Belt), Aikijujutsu
Mr. Derrick Lee Mason, Gokyu (5th-kyu/Yellow Belt), Aikijujutsu
Mr. Chris Corbit, Gokyu (5th-kyu), Iaijutsu
September 26-28, 2008 - Members of the dojo traveled to Cincinnati, Ohio, to attend a seminar in Eishin
Ryu Iaijutsu with Carl Long sensei, 6th-dan Renshi, of the Sakura Budokan and east coast representative
of the Jikishin-Kai. Instruction covered the basics of Iaijutsu, along with thorough instruction on the
Battoho no Bu, Seiza no Bu, Okuden Tachiwaza and the Tachiuchi no Kurai Kenjutsu set.
August 21, 2008 - Mr. Ryan Brady tested for and was promoted to the rank of Nidan in Iaijutsu.
Congratulations Ryan.
August 16, 2008 - Effective 8/16/2008 (Saturday), a new schedule will take effect. Please check the
"Dojo" page for the new schedule.
